Another great 10/10 review from a happy pitchup.com camper!

Liked: What a beautiful place Barnsoul is!
We loved every part of the campsite. The kids were never bored, they enjoyed the fishing pond and the little park, they had plenty of space to run and play. Fellow campers were friendly. Beautiful scenery. A beautiful orchestra of owls and wild birds during the evening.
Showers/toilets are some of the cleanest I've seen.
Francis the site manager was extremely friendly and helpful.
Thanks for a fabulous stay... We'll defo be back :)

Disliked: Nothing, except having to come home ;)

After staying at Barnsoul in a Little Lodge for 3 nights over the first weekend in July 2014. We will definately be back. My son of 5 years of age didn't want to come home and even the dog had a good time.
The facilites were very clean and the staff very helpful.
The kiddies play park was in the words of my 5 year awesome and close enough to our Little Lodge to be able to keep an eye on him.
The surroundings of the site provided lovley walks for the dog and adventures were also well maintained.
Thank you Barnsoul for a great family memory.

Stayed here in June for 2 Nights at the weekend. We booked last minute on Friday and packed up Me, My Partner & Our Dog, what a great time we had!! we booked to stay in a little pod which had Microwave, Kettle, Toaster & Heater.! It was a great size for us and nice and warm. We cooked our BBQ at night out the front of the pod and toasted Marshmallows on the firepit enjoying a couple of beverages in the warm weather. Enjoyed walks through the woods seing the little wood carved murshrooms and chairs made from trees..oh and the little houses.. great place to take kids id say! My partner is 28 and me 23 we will defintaley be back :)

After staying at Barnsoul in the summer for a few night in our tent, we where so impressed that we came back October for 2 night. We stayed in a wigwam lodge with our kids and our friends stayed in the Little Lodges. The weather was great with clear skies for star gazing at night and BBQ ing and toasting mashmallows over the fire pit. Breakfast at the table in the communal kitchen area which is great to have access to. Fishing in the millpont with the kids was fabulous and we went to the Cream of Galloway farm for a excellent day out.The site is very well looked after and we are coming back again. A little jewel in the middle of an amazing surrounding. Thanks.

We first stayed at Barnsoul in August and we camped in a tent on the top field. As it was bank holiday weekend it was very busy but still with plenty of space for the children and dog to go off exploring in the woods and stream.
We came for a second visit last week for 5 nights and stayed in a wooden wigwam as the weather was much colder at wetter. How fantastic, plenty of space for a family of 4 plus the dog and space for all our mountain biking equipment. Having the kitchen was a god send on one night as it was just too wet and windy to cook on a camping stove outside the wigwam. The kitchen, toilets and showers are always clean and tidy and serviced at least once a day.
We love this place and we will be back next year as soon as the kids are on school holidays!
My only suggestion for an improvement would be an oven in the kitchen as well as the hobs to allow the cooking of pizza etc.

Thanks so much for all your help when we stayed, getting us paper and wood for our fire, as this made two little girls very happy toasting their marshmallows!!.....We are so glad we found this hidden gem of a site and our only regret is only planning our stay for one night...we will not make that mistake next time. See you again next season. thanks again

We stayed one night in our motohome while touring Scotland. Lovely site will definately stay again and would love to bring the grandchildren - plenty of places to explore. Nice and quiet and good facilities.

Cracking site, nice and clean, organised, very friendly staff, very helpful, no real problems at all but if you order power for your camping, remember you need the blue hook up and ext to get power. Biker friendly. We had 8 pitches with 12 bikers. Every body had a great weekend and we shall return. Thanks

We have been to Barnsoul on 3 occasions now, once with a tent, once with a tourer and last but not least this May we stayed in a Wigwam. Barnsoul is so friendly and the scenery is wonderful. The wigwam was a fantastic experience we do intend to repeat. Waking up in the morning and opening the door to the rolling hills and farmland was a wonderful site. The showers are lovely and clean, plenty of lovely walks to view the wildlife. We will be back soon .

What a find, loved this place. It was clean and loved the set up.
We camped for 4 nights and loved the peace. Only suggestion I would make is tents need pitch structure as put up anywhere was a bit chaotic and although great having it the portaloo needed to be cleaned more.
Looking at coming back already as great for the 7stains.
